چکیده
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) has been listed by the World Health Organization as a priority antibiotic-resistant nosocomial pathogen in urgent need of new antimicrobials [1]. Plasmids are key factor pathology and epidemiology MRSA isolates play important roles their evolution. In our on-going efforts to better understand genetic background molecular from Terengganu, Malaysia, whole genome sequencing using Illumina HiSeq platform (HiSeq-PE150) was performed on 31 selection clinical obtained main tertiary hospital, Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah (HSNZ). One these isolates, designated S. SauR23, isolated pus 2016 resistant seven classes thus categorized multidrug (MDR). Analysis sequence SauR23 showed it belonged ST22 clone with SCCmec class IV(2B) harbored blaZ, mecA, norA, lmrS, mepR ermC resistance genes, which corresponded its MDR phenotype. Besides norA-encoded efflux pump, fluoroquinolone could also be due S84L point mutation gyrA-encoded DNA gyrase. found carry three plasmids, pSauR23-1 (58,422 bp), pSauR23-2 (3,011 pSauR23-3 (2,473 bp). The smallest plasmid, RepL-family plasmid that encoded gene likely responsible for inducible macrolide-lincosamide-streptogrammin B (iMLSB) phenotype exhibited host strain. Plasmid Rep_1 family small cryptic plasmid. On other hand, is novel, potentially conjugative contains replicase RepA_N domain (repUS20) shared low identity (34%) pWBG749, known staphylococcal putative region differed transfer system pWBG749 well systems database. Nevertheless, genes contained conserved motifs MobL relaxase, TraG/TraD-like protein, type VI secretion ATPase were detected within this

Whole Genome Sequencing of a Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Pseudo-Outbreak in a Professional Football Team
Two American football players on the same team were diagnosed with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) skin and soft tissue infections on the same day. Our investigation, including whole genome sequencing, confirmed that players did not transmit MRSA to one another nor did they acquire the MRSA from a single source within the training facility.

chapter i provides an overview of structural linguistics and touches upon the saussurean dichotomies with the final goal of exploring their relevance to the stylistic studies of literature. to provide evidence for the singificance of the study, chapter ii deals with the controversial issue of linguistics and literature, and presents opposing views which, at the same time, have been central to t...

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections pose a major challenge in health care, yet the limited heterogeneity within this group hinders molecular investigations of related outbreaks. Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) has been the gold standard approach but is impractical for many clinical laboratories and is often replaced with PCR-based methods. Regardless, both appr...
متن کاملDetection of icaABCD Genes in Clinical Isolates of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus from Patients in Iran
Introduction: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is an important pathogen that causes several nosocomial or community-acquired infections. Adhesion to surfaces and subsequent biofilm formation are the major phases of a staphylococcal infection. The aim of this study was to detect the presence of icaABCD genes in clinical isolates of MRSA. Methods: A total of 110 clinical Staphyl...
متن کاملTransmission of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection through solid organ transplantation: confirmation via whole genome sequencing.
We describe two cases of donor-derived methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bacteremia that developed after transplantation of organs from a common donor who died from acute MRSA endocarditis. Both recipients developed recurrent MRSA infection despite appropriate antibiotic therapy, and required prolonged hospitalization and hospital readmission. Comparison of S. aureus whole geno...
